Outstanding service from ECH Group Ltd.
Having recently had solar panels and a battery backup system installed in our home, I can wholeheartedly recommend ECH Group Ltd.
I requested quotations from several solar panel installers and ECH stood out as the friendliest, most straight talking, and the most accommodating company out of all of the companies that I contacted. ECH were unusual in that they offer a ‘desktop survey’, where they can assess your roof layout and requirements by looking at satellite photos of your house, whereas all the other companies need to send a salesman round to you. I liked ECH from the very initial contact. Having received my desktop survey and initial quote, I spoke to Carl on the phone. He was very friendly, straight talking, and gave me the facts and prices up front.
I also requested quotes from several other companies, and had a number of salesmen visit to assess my property. During this process I was learning about the various systems and options available, and used this knowledge to tweak the configuration and equipment, gradually refining what I thought I needed for our situation. ECH were quite happy to quote for the various options that I was considering, and also sent a technician to assess the installation, who I found gave me much more insight into the installation possibilities than I had gleaned from talking to all the salesmen from the other companies.
When comparing all the quotes that I received, the best quote was from ECH. Not only that, but ECH quoted for 335 Watt panels, whereas all the other companies had quoted for the cheaper, and slightly inferior, 300 or 310 Watt panels. ECH also stood out from the others by not requiring a deposit from domestic customers, whereas all the other companies wanted a deposit of 25% up front, which is a considerable sum to hand over. ECH seem to be unique in not asking for a deposit from domestic customers.
The actual installation was done extremely efficiently by just two guys in less than a day. The installation was very neat and worked flawlessly from first switch on. Aftercare has also been very good. I have requested various items of documentation to enable us to apply for the export tariff, and response from ECH has been good.
Now that we have had a few weeks experience with the system we are amazed at how well it has performed, especially on a sunny day. Considering that it is only March at the time of writing this, on several days this week solar power has provided 90% of our electricity needs. The monitoring ability of the LuxPower system is brilliant. We can see exactly where our power is coming from and going to at any given time.
I can therefore honestly recommend ECH as the best company to go to if you are considering installing solar panels.

I spent some time choosing a PV supplier and changing the specifications of my installation, but Carl Hughes and his team at ECH Group were very patient and understanding. Their quotes very always accurate and competitive.
When I’d finally made a decision, the paperwork was done and the big day dawned, the team arrived bright and early and started work straight away. They worked hard all day, apart from breaks for supplied tea, coffee and cold drinks – it was the hottest day of the year, so far, – until everything was finished and all the rubbish cleared away. The whole installation was finished in a day, as promised, and I now have a fully installed system that works better than I expected. Thanks very much!

A responsive and professional company.
I work as an engineer and have previously specified a large solar project on a factory roof. I was impressed throughout by ECH. Carl was extremely thorough and very happy to provide multiple options, he also answered all my technical questions promptly and clearly. The install was done on the day, very efficiently and with no fuss. There was an issue due to an administrative error resulting in the wrong inverter being sent, again there was no fuss and by 6.00am the next day they had arranged everything and the crew were back within a two days (on a Saturday) to swap the unit. The sales, install crew and administration have all been organised, helpful and professional. The quotes were also reasonable compared to the range of quotes I obtained. I will be recommending them to my friends.

Competitive pricing from ECH
We were delighted with Carl’s thorough response to our various questions and he was happy to provide a number of competitive quotes for different scenarios. The initial survey was carried out by Matt, a very helpful young man and the work was carried out within a couple of weeks of agreeing a quote. Prior to installation, you need to have a smart phone and know how to install the energy monitoring app on it – that was our biggest difficulty of the day!

As with other reviews Carl and the team at ECH are a top bunch and we were very happy from initial contact to installation.
Pricewise they were in the middle the best place to be, its easy to buy cheap and buy twice, and nobody wants to pay over the odds, I know if I want advise or support in the future this company will be there for me. There are loads of solar companies out there yes you have to shop around just make sure ECH GROUP are in the mix.

It is very difficult to add even more superlatives to the ones already given by other customers! However from day 1 with the honest guide through by Carl, followed by further advice and help from Sean , through to final installation by the ” lads” in difficult circumstances, all was excellent !

From the 1st conversion I had with Carl at ECH, I could tell this company was on the level, I had received several quotes fro my Solar PV system and all were varied with lots of batteries or not enough panels etc. I sent this over to Carl and he told me straight and offered his own options on all the quotes cutting through all the B.S and then offered his own thoughts on what system would actually work for me.
It was their honesty and professionalism that helped me decide to use ECH and within a week of saying yes, and having the site visit my system was installed and up and running, and I have never been happier.

We sought several quotes to have solar panels fitted to our South-facing garage roof. Two of the firms were very ‘pushy’, almost aggressive! Not so ECH. Carl Hughes gave a competitive quote with lots of detail. We had a number of ‘phone calls and e-mail chats – all friendly and helpful; there was absolutely no pressure. Amongst things benefitting the customer, ECH is an accredited member of HIES and also registered with the MCS scheme.
Unbeknown to any of us, the garage was not earthed! ECH sorted all this out at no additional cost.

We found the whole process of having solar panels fitted very easy thanks to ECH. The two guys who did the work were knowledgeable, helpful and hardworking. They turned up early and had the job completed by mid-afternoon. They downloaded the app on my mobile and explained how it worked. Now we can see exactly how much new power we are generating at any time – very exciting. The aftercare has also been excellent with my questions answered swiftly and politely. We could not be more pleased.

Very friendly and helpful company, a useful and informative telephone conversation with Carl Hughes, followed by numerous follow up email discussions. I am new to the thought of Solar panels but Carl’s advice and guidance, plus a competitive quotation has been very valuable. We are not ready to have panels just yet, but I am sure we will in a few months and Carl’s advice and guidance has been invaluable.
